Coop de France Métiers du Lait and the public authorities
Generally speaking, Coop de France Métiers du Lait and its members are committed to creating working connections and information flows with the French ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry, parliamentary bodies and locally elected representatives, and with the European Union (Commission and Parliament). These connections are established either directly or though professional organisations representing us in Brussels.
Coop de France Métiers du Lait in the context of European and international cooperatives

Through Coop de France, the national union of agricultural, food industry and industrial food-producing cooperatives, french dairy cooperatives are members of :
- the General Committee for Agricultural Cooperation in the European Union (COGECA), which represents the best interests of farming cooperatives throughout Europe.
- the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) and its European branch, Cooperatives Europe. The ICA brings together 230 cooperatives from over 100 countries, representing, in total, 800 million members and 100 million employees.
Coop de France Métiers du Lait in the European dairy and food industry
- A member of the French national committee of the International Dairy Federation (IDF France), which provides scientific expertise and knowledge about milk and dairy produce in order to improve the health, nutrition and well-being of consumers.
- A member of the European Dairy Association (EDA), which represents the interests of dairy companies on a European level (by way of the Association de Transformation Laitière Française - ATLA).
