Promoting dairy cooperation and ensuring a high-performance, fair and sustainable economic model
In France, 40 cooperative groups and almost 200 cheese dairies (known as fruitières) collect and process the milk produced by member farmers. 55,200 French milk producers are currently affiliated to a dairy cooperative (more than half of all producers).

It is committed to promoting the cooperative economic model: a high-performance approach that is fair and sustainable, and that advocates solidarity and humanism. It is designed to meet the aspirations of a large number of socially conscious consumers.
